Differences between Haruka and Michiru and their dub counterparts:
-Amara's voice seems to be higher than Haruka's for the most part. In some scenes her voice is low enough to be boyish, but it seemed rather feminine (which doesn't make much sense since she's supposed to be mistaken for a boy) in the scenes where she was speaking with Mina and Serena (in episode 3). Her voice is also a little monotone at times.
-Michelle seems a little ditzy at times, both because of her dialogue and her voice actress (who also did the voice of Serena's mother). Michiru is never ditzy.
-In episode 2, the Amara and Michelle seem similar to Haruka and Michiru in their motives/beliefs (they leave even though the daimon hasn't been destroyed), but in episode 3 they say "We're here to protect purity and goodness from harm," while Haruka and Michiru say they're looking for a talisman. Then in episode 4, Amara says that the people whose "pure hearts" (or whatever they're calling the talismans) are taken will be killed. Then in episode 6, Amara and Michelle (Uranus and Neptune) say that they help those who fight for love and justice. Anyone else a little confused?
-Amara is Sailor Uranus, pronounced yur-in-us, with the first syllable stressed (Haruka is Sailor Uranus, pronounced oo-lah-nah-soo, with no syllable stressed).
-Amara's attack varies between "Uranus World Shaking" and "World Shaking," and Michelle's varies between "Neptune Deep Submerge" and "Deep Submerge." Haruka's attacks (in the anime) are "World Shaking" and "Space Sword Blaster," and Michiru's (in the anime) are "Deep Submerge" and "Submarine Reflection."
-Amara gives love advice to Serena and Mina, telling them that they'll find their princes someday. Michelle also says that Amara 'has this thing about people living happily ever after.' In the original, Haruka told Minako and Usagi that they still had a chance with her and Michiru said that Haruka told that to all pretty girls.
-Amara says that she has given up her dream of becoming a top racecar driver because she wasn't good enough; Haruka doesn't say that, she just says that she has a new dream (to do something that only she can do). In fact, Haruka says that she is willing to endure any sacrifice for that dream, while Amara says nothing of the sort (I'm not really sure why that was left out. . .).
-Michelle seems to have the same self-esteem problem as Amara--she tells Serena that she (Michelle) isn't good enough to be a violinist.
-Amara and Michelle are more cruel/insulting to Serena than Haruka and Michiru are to Usagi (Serena also seems to be stupider than Usagi, which might account for some of it) in the 4th episode; they're much nicer in later episodes than they were in the 4th, though.
-Michelle appears to be bisexual, while Michiru is either bisexual or homosexual (it's not clear which). Amara also makes a comment about going out with Darien that might suggest she is bisexual (Haruka is either bisexual or homosexual, but dialogue from the anime, as well as info about her given in one of the SMS anime albums, suggest the latter).
-Amara and Michelle's speeches (when they appear to fight Heart Snatchers) change with every episode, while Haruka and Michiru's remain constant.
-Amara and Michelle say some _really_ dorky things ("Let's do it to it!" "Meatball alert." "Enough song and dance." "dude") that Haruka and Michiru would probably never even imagine saying.
-Michelle's first kiss was with a guy named Brad; I'm guessing (from what Michiru said, and the way she looked at Haruka) that Michiru's was with Haruka.
-Amara and Michelle are cousins; it isn't mentioned whether or not Haruka and Michiru are related in any way. Also, in the dub both Kaolinite and Sailor Moon seem to know that Neptune and Uranus are cousins; in the original, neither knew of their civilian identities at that point in the series.
-Amara and Michelle entered the Degrees of Affection contest as a practical joke; Haruka and Michiru said they entered it for fun, but didn't say anything about it being a practical joke.
-Amara mentions trying to find friends in the area; Haruka never said anything about that.
-Haruka and Michiru are 10th graders when they first appear; Michelle says that she is a 9th grader and that Amara is old enough to get a drivers' license (although she might have been lying about Amara being older).
-Amara's transformation phrase alternates between "Uranus Star Power" and "Uranus Planet Power," Michelle's alternates between "Neptune Star Power" and "Neptune Planet Power" (Haruka's is "Uranus Planet Power, Make Up!" and Michiru's is "Neptune Planet Power, Make Up!").
-Haruka and Michiru's transformations have a few body lines that are missing in Amara and Michelle's transformations.
-Amara and Michelle appear to be incestuous; since they aren't related (at least to my knowledge), there is no incest involved in Haruka and Michiru's relationship. There are several scenes in the dub that would suggest Amara and Michelle are in love, and acknowledge each other's feelings, the main one being the one in which Yuuichirou sees them embracing and gets angry (although part of the scene was cut out, the end was left in).
-Amara's detransformation isn't ever shown in detail; Haruka's is.
