Haruka and Michiru are both single children. Michiru's mother and
father are divorced, and Michiru lived with her father for a time until
she became a senshi. Michiru then disappeared, living off of money she
recieved from concerts and selling her paintings, etc. Her father has
no notion of Haruka's relationship with her. Haruka's parents are very rich and both are highly devoted to their business. Therefore they had little time for Haruka. They do not know of Michiru, and when Haruka became a senshi, she left a note saying she was going riding. She never returned. (sent in by jshweid@yahoo.com)
In my fanfics Haruka's parents know and seem to approve of her
relationship with Michiru. They've known about Haruka's being a lesbian
for some time and have gotten used to the idea, and they easily love and
accept Michiru into their family. Haruka's mother seems to especially
like Michiru, probably because that's what kind of girl she wanted
Haruka to be. Michiru's parents liked Haruka when they were introduced
to her, because they thought she was a boy, but once they found out she
was a girl, they became angry and threw Michiru out of their home, and
haven't had a good relationship with her ever since. She seems to use
Haruka's parents as substitutes to an extent, but it's clear she misses
her real parents and wishes they'd learn to accept the relationship so

In my fanfic (not released yet,) Haruka has a really horrible father who abuses her, and while her mother is rather unaware at first, they eventually leave home and she grows closer to her mother very quickly. Her mother is very accepting of Michiru. Michiru's father isn't around much, and her mother pushes her too hard to perform; she doesn't look at Michiru as her own person. They totally freak out when they find out about Haruka and kick her out. Michiru does have siblings, and all but one are accepting of their relationship. (sent in by immora@crosswinds.net)
Oh man! If you haven't read immora's fanfic,you don't know what you are missing! She posted a response here,e-mail her for the web address! The story is so believable that I'm going to adopt it as how thier parents
